On Oct. 11th, 2011, Mr. Cameron, the director, held 3 D "Titanic" trailer world debut in the AMC Empire Cinema at times square.
Reporters came to the release conference with questions like why Titanic? Why 3D? Mr. Cameron told reporters his real thought: 3D effect is his biggest motivation to redisplay Titanic on big screen. No matter what standard to judge it, the Titanic is the timeless classic in human movie history. Mr. Cameron knew that what he does must be movies arousing resonation. Modern technology opens an inspiring and exciting new world for film producer like Cameron. He advocates telling kinds of stories by the stupendous methods. He believes that in future every film will be produced with 3D effect.
Reporters asked "Which direction will the 3D virtual reality technology be apt to develop?” He pointed that movie is a medium telling stories, if we can use virtual reality to express, that will be better. Because interactive feeling will be stronger.
Reporters haven't seen the whole movie, but the 17 min prevue is still expecting. Let's hope that 3D technology like 3d rendering (architectural rendering/architectural visualization), 3d animation (architectural animation), 3d floor plan, etc. will better develop.
