A Little Thought about the Life of Pi
These days, the Life of Pi is popular. Based on thebest-selling novel by Yann Martel, it is a magical adventure story centering on Pi Patel, the precocious son of a zoo keeper. Dwellers in Pondicherry, India, the family decides to move to Canada, hitching a ride on a huge freighter. After a shipwreck, Pi finds himself adrift in the Pacific Ocean on a 26-foot lifeboat with a zebra, a hyena, an orangutan and a 450-pound Bengal tiger named Richard Parker, all fighting for survival. The picture shots are gorgeous. 3D technology, 3D animation and 3D visualization bring new life to film.

Programs for 3D Movie Animation
Maya is made by Autodesk, it is designed for different purposes than 3ds Max. Compared to 3ds Max, Maya offers more flexible input options such as motion capture, manual drawing input and 3D drawing. Maya is also better suited for modeling complex, organic moving environments such as those involving liquid or gases. To accomplish this, Maya requires a faster computer than 3ds Max but gives the user the option of running it on Windows, Macintosh or Linux.
Poser, by Smith Micro, is designed specifically for the creation and modeling of biped characters not whole environments like the Autodesk programs. It allows users to create faces from scanned copies of photographs, to modify characters easily and intuitively, as well as to animate characters by simply dragging behaviors into a time line. Of the three programs, Poser is the least expensive, can be run on the Windows or Mac platforms and is the least CPU intensive.
Autodesk's 3ds Max is industry-standard 3D animation software, primarily designed to be used to model large environments such as buildings, streets and complex outdoor settings that require the simulation of sunlight or moonlight. The tools in 3ds Max are more geared toward making extremely precise models. It is only available on Windows but is less expensive and less CPU intensive than the other standard program in 3D animation, Maya. 3Ds Max is our important software for 3d animation, like architectural animation, even architectural rendering and architectural animtaion.

Project: Dongguan Dynatown

Project: Guangzhou Evergrande Scenic Garden
Imperial Jiangnan is the first real estate project in Sanshui Jiangnan New Area. As the product of international masters’ ingenuity, the project can be divided into seven sections based on the different architectural styles, such as Spain small houses, villa along the lakeside, villas on the top of the mountain and villas of European and American styles. The 3d images or 3d renderings or architectural visualizations perfectly present the various architectural styles and convey to the audience a strong flavor of life.

3D Popeye
In my childhood, I like watching animated cartoon. Popeye is my beloved one. Popeye likes eating spinach which can endow him infinite power; and then he can beat any evildoer with his strong body.
It is reported that 3d Popeye will be released. It's exciting news to me-a 3d animation /3d visualization and Popeye lover.
I remember the first time when Popeye appeared on screen is in 1980. Director Robert Ferdinand had ever directed a live-action version "Popeye" movie and comedy star robin Williams played the leading role. But the film was undesirable as expected. Maybe the animated cartoon impressed people deeply. Perhaps director learned the lessons of the film, this time 3d animated Popeye is shot. Up to now, the plots of 3d Popeye is still secret. But we have known that Popeye's girlfriend Olive, his sworn enemy Pluto and his adopted Swee'pea will be presented in screen.
I'm expecting 3d Popeye.
